Win number six for consistent Tarbat Ness

Tarbat Ness posted his third victory of the year and sixth of his career when returning to Carlisle for the Stylish Stayers' Handicap with Gina Managan.

Never looking in danger, he switched off well in the early stages and then swung into contention as the field turned for home, being pushed wide to the stands' side but staying on well to win comfortably by six lengths.

Tarbat Ness is seven now and has matured into a good-looking and generous performer. We're very proud of his record for this year so far and hope that he may be seen again in the coming month at York and Newmarket.

It was a pleasure to be back at Carlisle for the card featuring solely female jockeys. Tarbat Ness ran in the same race two years ago when finishing sixth behind his winning stable-mate Merrijig.
