Collings Berry Media
Collings Berry Media was set up in 2008 by Emma Berry, who has worked as a freelance racing and bloodstock writer and photographer since 2006.
Prior to that Emma had been employed as deputy editor of Pacemaker magazine, deputy editor and racing editor of Horse & Hound, and production editor at Darley’s Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket.
Since 2015, Emma has been retained by Thoroughbred Daily News as chief correspondent for TDN Europe. This is her principal role but she also undertakes freelance work for the Japan Racing Association, Green Channel, Bloodstock Notebook, Racing TV and Overbury Stud as well as some pedigree analysis for trainers and breeders.
Emma is chair of the British European Breeders’ Fund, sits on the BHA’s Flat Pattern Committee and is a panellist for the British Horseracing Hall of Fame. She is a small owner-breeder with two broodmares and runs several racing syndicates.
John is also a writer and occasional broadcaster and is a key part of Collings Berry Media. For more than 30 years he has been a weekly columnist for the Australian publication Winning Post, as well as being a regular contributor to TDN. A former mayor of Newmarket, he remains a town councillor.
