Roy keeps rocking

Just a week after Roy Rocket won for the seventh time on his 50th career start, he notched victory number eight, back at Brighton, of course, and this time in the hands of John Egan.

It was once again a result which was a real crowd-pleaser and it's heartening for everyone connected with this stable, and particularly for Larry, Iris and John, that Roy has become such a popular horse.

He remains in great heart and, now in top form, is taking his racing really well. There's a tougher opportunity for him at Brighton this Tuesday, with only five runners, but much stiffer competition. While this weather continues and he has his favoured fast ground, it seems silly not to run him, even though it would be a much bigger ask for him to win this time around.

After that he will be aiming towards Brighton's big summer meeting in early August, at which we hope we might also be able to run Hope Is High.
