Eljaytee returned to Brighton where he had run so well last year and this time came home a deserving winner, following up on his victory last season at Yarmouth.
The stable now has a sixty-six per cent winning strike-rate at Brighton this year following Cloudy Rose's win there last month, and both horses have been very well ridden by Gina Mangan, who put in another great effort on Eljaytee to produce him right at the last moment.
Congratulations to Eljaytee's loyal owners Barry and Dan Tunmore, and to Jana Trnakova, who rides him every day and dotes on him.
The rest of the week will be a busy one for the stable as Cloudy Rose returns to defend her title at Beverley on Wednesday, while Hiccups and Tarbat Ness will run at Carlisle on Thursday and Friday. Finally, Merrijig will head to Nottingham on Sunday.
