Double Up For Double Meaning

Tony Fordham’s Double Meaning gave us all another thrilling day when following up his 10-length success at Southwell ten days ago with a five-length win at Lingfield when stepping up to two miles.
When he was bought from Godolphin at the Tattersalls February Sale it was in the hope that he would be a progressive stayer and that is exactly what he looks like now, with two wins to his name from just six starts, the latter under a penalty before he ascends to his new mark of 74.
Double Meaning boasts a lovely pedigree and is closely related to a number of good middle-distance horses, so let’s hope he can emulate them in time. He’s a very easy horse at home, sometimes bordering on being a bit lazy, so it is extremely exciting to see him demonstrate such a turn of foot in his races.
Congratulations to Tony, Rebecca and Miranda, who thankfully were there to enjoy another win with their lovely horse.
