It was wonderful to see Cloudy Rose and her team of owners in the Runfortheroses syndicate back in the winner's enclosure at Brighton.
Bred by Roger and Maggie Vicarage with Mickley Stud, Cloudy Rose won three times last season, including twice at Brighton, and she clearly appreciated a return to the seaside when running home determinedly to strike again under a well-timed ride from Gina Mangan.
It is always extra special to have the offspring of former members of the stable to train, and Cloudy Rose's dam Zarosa was a dual winner for the Vicarage family. Her daughter, who is a very tough and honest filly, has now doubled Zarosa's tally and we look forward to seeing Cloudy Rose adding to her record as the season progresses.
