We've been thrilled with the response to our National Hunt syndicate to race Merrijig, which is now full. We have also launched a new Flat syndicate to race Beryl Burton for 2022 and beyond and there are some shares available on the same basis.
Now aged four, Beryl Burton, a daughter of the versatile Sixties Icon, came to this stable in June 2021. Her six runs for John last year resulted in a win and three places. With her breeders keen to focus on their jumping interests, John bought her from them during the close season and, after a good break, she is now back with us and cantering in preparation for the start of the turf.
John says: "Beryl Burton looks an older and stronger horse than she did last year, when even when she was running well she looked quite an undeveloped horse. She came back here in the first week of January, did a couple of weeks of trotting and has now resumed cantering, so I hope she should be ready to resume racing in the spring. She’s been up to now a very sound horse and I hope she could put together quite a worthwhile career, although obviously one never knows what the future holds."
Shares are now available to lease, with the intention is that the syndicate will run from 1st March and run indefinitely for as long as she looks to be a worthwhile racing prospect. The price is £175 per month for an all-inclusive 10% share or £87.50 for a 5% share. Each share-holder receives the equivalent percentage of whatever prize money earned.
